Tale Of Two Lovers "changed" by ~Hawke-Eye:iconHawke-Eye:

Tale of two lovers

In the long life of this planet many stories have been spun by travellers, villagers and even you and me, but none of these stories hold as much emotion, passion, and blood as the tale of two lovers, it is a story of love, war and change.
In this ancient valley there once existed a great city by the name of  Amore-Haine, the origin of this city is covered in despair, battle, and romance. Our story starts with two ancient cities feuding over the last remaining supplies of water from the great river Eau-caduta, this once mighty river was reduced to a mere trickle. The two cities suffering from drought and famine waged war on each other vying for control of Eau-caduta. The leaders of these two cities both knew that only one city would survive and that the other must be eliminated. The name of these two cities was Epée Silencieuse the King being named Servinio and Muro Di Cristallo the Queen being named Amaria.

“My dearest Amore, I must ask you to serve me again” said Amaria.  With a touch of malice in her voice “I need use of your…….special skills” “What do you wish of me my queen” said Amore emotionless “I need you to go down to the battle front and eliminate their general.” “As you wish my Queen.” At the queens command Amore, the right hand assassin of Amaria left the castle and headed towards the lake. Amore, wasn’t always an assassin, she originally grew up in the slums of the city. Her parents were murdered in the great war and she was left to defend for her self; After mugging and killing the Queen’s Royal guard chief she was enlisted and trained by the queen to be an assassin for her personally, but Amore was also the queens personal body guard, she was from the age of eight trained and made into a killing machine. On her mission to the river she sees a young solider from the other city; He has dark brown hair with simple green eyes and a normal face; He instantly recognizes Amore and engages her in combat.

“Haine my young general, I need you to head down to the river and dispose of Her pesky knight’s” said Servinio with pure delight in his voice. “Of course my King” said Haine with no emotion. With his commands in tow Haine headed down towards the river to eliminate the Queen’s knights. Haine’s childhood was a sad one, his parents were in service to the king and were his personal body guards. On one secret mission to assassinate the queen, his parents were found; the hid him under the floor boards before the royal guard and ruthless pig of a general barged in and slaughtered his father and raped his mother before his eyes; he swore his revenge, luckily the general was well known for his many slaves. On a cold and dark night he had his revenge as he watched the brutish general slowly drown in his own blood while saying with a bottomless and vicious malice "do you remember who i am, do you remember my father as he slowly died, do you remember my mother, the woman you raped, answer me!"; those were the last words the general ever heard before slowly dying in a pool of cold red blood. When he arrived at the river he saw the young assassin Amore. He engaged her in combat.

Amore drew her daggers while Haine drew his spear. The charged at each other like two dogs caught in a life or death battle. Haine thrust his spear while Amore stabbed with her dagger. After a perilous hour of battle the two exhausted drop, their weapons and stare at each other. “You serve that rat of a queen” said Haine whipping the blood from his arm. “And you work for that fool of a king, a mere foot solider…with such skill” said Amore wiping blood from her mouth. “Foot soldier, I am  the general of Servinio” said Haine with pride lingering on his words “then I must kill you” Amore said her voice like ice in the air. “We can both see that would be pointless right now, your exhausted and so am I, I suggest we rest then we fight again” he said this with a simple voice, but with a hint of joy “Rest with the enemy, unlikely” Amore still with the hint of ice in her voice, “I must ask you, why do you serve her so loyally?” “Why…..she saved my life” “and yet she has you kill for her, your hands are stained with blood that will never wash away” “as are yours” “but why…..why do we have this war” this was said with remorse in Haines voice “I often think the same, this is truly a pointless war, the meaning of which long since lost” she said now sitting down next to Haine, the two looked each other in the eyes, both hopelessly lost in the swirling color of their eyes. It started with a kiss, soon they were madly in love, every time they were sent on a mission they would meet in a secret cave which linked the two cities, this cave was called “the old way”

On one bitter cold and miserable day Amore headed to the old way, waiting patiently for her lover to arrive. She waited into the long hours of the night, her face turning blue from the cold and tears frozen to her cheeks. Filled with sorrow and remorse she headed back to her home in the city. It was there that she saw the frozen bloody corpse of Haine her lover the queen standing next to him brandishing his spear “This is what happens Amore, when you betray me. From now on you shall accompany me everywhere I go, and tomorrow we will head to the battle field to end this miserable war.” Amore ran to Haine’s corpse and lent next to it, crying, pounding her fist into the ground, breaking several fingers “WHY……….WHY DID YOU DO THIS……….why” Amore said this with a trembling voice. The queen lent down beside her “Because my dear, I love you, and I will not let you love or have contact with filth such as that” while saying this she spat on his corpse, desecrating it further.

On the final day of the war Amore headed down to the battle front with the queen. When they arrived the king was also there. It was then that the two leaders approached  each other and argued like toddlers. It was then that Amore’s anger reached its peak and she attacked the two “royals”. She drew her two daggers and attacked them both, slaughtering the royal guard before staring into the faces of Servinio and Amaria. “You both slaughtered my only love, for this I will slaughter you both” with this she stabbed both daggers into the king and queens heart. It was then that a young foot solider attacked Amore, he stabbed her through the chest. Watching the king and queen die, the soldiers  remaining, now joined by the residents of  both cities watched as Amore climbed a rock with tears of blood falling from her eyes “This war is over,  it was pointless from the beginning and cost hundreds there families” now close to death Amore said one final thing “Oh cruelest fate and coldest world, take me to my love, let me feel his embrace, and be warm again forever” with this Amore died. It was on that day that Amore-Haine was created, known as the city of two lovers, to this day the bodies of the two lovers still lie in the old way buried together holding each other in warm embrace.
